Tralee Vs Tralee Exiles St. Stephens Day See the photogallery for more photos Tralee 43 Exiles 5 The Tralee vs Exiles game for The Gary Giles Memorial Cup on St. Stephen’s Day, is always a highlight in the club’s calendar and this year was no exception. Fielding nearly a full strength squad, Tralee were far too strong for a gallant Exiles side. Nevertheless, both sides were committed to playing running rugby, with 8 tries in total being scored, with not one penalty kick attempted. Tom Cronin, Munster Branch, had a fine game as match referee, while James Walsh, Shane Heffernan, Simon Behan and Killian Chute were the pick of the Exiles side. Alan Creagh had an exceptional game at out half for the victors while Ger Bree, although picked in the pack at number 8 for Tralee, became a quasi permanent fixture out on the wing !! Overall, a most enjoyable day was had with a good work out for Tralee prior to this weekend’s all important fixture. |
