Tralee Youths make the Cut Congratulations to Steven Murray and Eoin Kelleher who made the cut at the Munster Youths (U18) Trials on Saturday May 5th to reach the last 35. Steven and Eoin featured in both the U16 and U18 sides in the 2006/07 season. Steven is a backrow and Eoin plays at centre, but has filled in everywhere from 9 to 15.. Well done lads.

Tralee's Danny Barnes gets Ireland Youths cap against Scotland. Read the story on the Munster Rugby Site here. Danny was also capped in the 10-7 victory against England Wed Apr 4th and in the final against France on Saturday April 7th which Ireland lost on Penalties

Past Players Reunion.

As part of our 125th Birthday celebrations the Club organised a Players & Officials Reunion in the Grand Hotel, Denny Street, Tralee, on Friday, 13th April 2007.

A special rugby match was played at O'Dowd Park on the same evening as the Players and Officials Reunion! The players of the pre-2000 era took on the players of the post-2000 era in a unique celebratory game to mark the 125th Birthday of the Club.

Three Tralee players for Munster Youths.

Congratulations to Sean Purcell, Steven Murray and Eoin Kelleher who have been selected for Munster Youths training. Sean plays full-back or out-half with the U18s and Steven and Eoin feature with both the U16s and U18s. Steven is a back-row, normally playing 6 and Eoin can show up anywhere in the back-line but normally plays centre.

Players' Monster Draw Winners

The Player's Six Nations Draw took place in the clubrooms on Thursday January 18th and the draw was well attended by the players, trustees, committee members and participants alike. Tommy Culloty, Ray Gadsen, Mags Hayes, Jack O'Driscoll and Arthur Townsend were the people entrusted with drawing the lucky tickets, which was overseen by Supt Pat O'Sullivan. The lucky winners of the prizes were as follows:

Wales: James Lynch

France: PJ Dollery

England: Conor Kavanagh

Scotland: Finola Revington

Italy: Richard Barrett

The club would like to pay thanks to the organisers, Alan O'Sullivan, Gareth Dillon and David Condon for their huge effort, to the players and especially the supporters for making it such a success!

Two Tralee Youths played against France!! Congratulations to Tralee Rugby Clubs Sean O'Mahony (prop) and Danny Barnes (Centre) who both got Ireland U18 caps v France on Saturday, 10th Feb 2007. Sean and Danny are two of only three Munster players selected in the 26 strong squad.

Summer Scrummage 2006

The Ulster Bank-sponsored Summer Scrummage 2006 took place at the club grounds, O'Dowd Park from the 31st July to the 4th August. The event organised by the IRFU was for boys and girls aged 7 -13 and attracted more than 80 participants..... more photos

Heineken Cup Debut for Tralee Exile...The Club would like to extend congratulations to John O'Sullivan who made his Heineken Cup debut with Munster last Saturday. Hopefully we will see more of him in the red jersey during the Heineken Cup this season. Well done John!
