Kerry Motor Works
In a break with tradition this year’s Munster Rugby Summer Camp in Tralee is in July – a much more suitable time for participants. Our Camp runs from Monday 10th July to Friday 14th July, from 9.30am to 1.30pm each day that week.
While the cost per child is €85, additional children from the same family can attend for the discounted rate of €75 per child.
This year there is a Special Promotion Rate of €75 per child for all those who book before 5th May 2017.
Each participant will receive an Official Summer Camp pack of an Adidas Summer Camp T-Shirt, Adidas Shorts, Adidas socks, Draw-string Bag, Mouth Guard and one Junior ticket to a Munster pre-season match.
NB: Children who participate in the camps will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as team work, respect and integrity, and also become more aware of the importance of physical fitness. All this while learning to develop the basic rugby skills of passing, tackling (in a controlled environment), evasion and kicking. Most of all we guarantee lots of fun!
To facilitate the appropriate attention, participants will be divided by their age into groups. Central to the Munster Rugby Summer Camps philosophy is ensuring the introduction to the game of Rugby in a safe and controlled manner.
The Camps will be managed and run by fully accredited I.R.F.U. Mini Rugby coaches. All Summer Camp staff have undertaken the National Garda Vetting process required to comply with the IRFU policy regarding recruitment and vetting to work in age grade rugby.
Pan Munster U 18 Cup Quarter Final
Sunday 12th March 2017
Killballowen Park Bruff
Bruff RFC. 10
Tralee RFC. 13
Cup rugby at its best. Tralee RFC had a wonderful victory in a pulsating match played in sticky conditions in South Limerick to reach the semi final of the cup. The home team owned the ball in the first 20 minutes of the match but couldn't breach our line as our defence was just terrific and clinical. Wave and wave of attack was met by brick walls from our lads.
What a weekend of Girls rugby at O'Dowd Park last weekend when the finals of the U18 and U15 Cup, Bowl and Plate competitions were held.
Tralee/Listowel Combined (TLC - love the name!!!) won both Cup finals and were both crowned Munster Champions!!!!!
The under 18s completed the League and Cup double and the under 15 were league runners up and Cup Champions.
Well done to all these special young ladies and to their coaches and management!!
Many thanks too to Siobhan Fleming, Current Munster Ladies Captain, former Irish International and current Tralee Ladies player, who presented the trophies.
Well done to all the volunteers working behing the scene on the day.
Some great photos of the day by Dave Condon can be found on our facebook page.
