12-14 April 2012 O’Dowd Park, Tralee
Tralee RFC are
proud to host once again their International festival of Mini and Youth Rugby
in O’Dowd Park next Friday and Saturday. This, now annual, event will see Tralee host a number of clubs from around the country with hundreds of players
participating at the various ages.
Since 2008 the
club has run this particular event as it’s main focus on bringing tourism into Tralee early in the season. From it’s inception the club has played host
to teams from Wales, England, Scotland and all provinces in Ireland. This year, due to economic circumstances it
is a national event with visiting clubs from Leinster & Munster, however Tralee RFC will make
sure that the visitors enjoy the event just as in previous years.
Local promoters
SixNationTours Ltd have done a superb job in being able to continue to run this
event each year in the most trying of times. Director of Sales for the group Ciarán O’Nualláin commented “We have
worked hard with all our partners to make sure that we are successful with
every event that is organised. This year
we had successful events in the UK,
France and a number of Irish Provinces but it is difficult under the economic
circumstances that prevail. Tralee is one of our highlighted features and as such we
are really interested in making sure it continues and we will continue in our
efforts to make it grow into the biggest & best rugby Festival in the
country.” Games will commence at
lunchtime on Friday and continue until early afternoon on Saturday with all
welcome. |
